Connecticut American College of Cardiology Women in Cardiology Summer Update
On August 21, 2019. the Connecticut-ACC WIC chapter held its first meeting of the academic year. This meeting brought together female cardiovascular attending physicians and fellows in training from around the state. Amongst wonderful company and great food, this informal meet and greet allowed for the new members of the chapter and existing members to get together, network, and strengthen the bond of women in cardiology. There were a multitude of discussions including conversation of the unique challenges that face women in the field of cardiology, mentorship opportunities, and the direction of the chapter.
