On Saturday December 14, 2019 the CCACC Education Committee sponsored a statewide Jeopardy tournament at Yale University.
On August 21, 2019. the Connecticut-ACC WIC chapter held its first meeting of the academic year. This meeting brought together female cardiovascular attending physicians and fellows in training from around the state.

Cardiologist Athena Poppas, M.D., FACC, FASE, has been named chief of the division of cardiology for Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals, as well as The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
