The college is celebrating its 75th Anniversary in 2025.  Information and ticket reservations to the ACC Foundation 75th anniversary gala on March 28th 2025 can be found on the gala website.


ACC Advocacy celebrated the finalization of a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) rule to streamline prior authorization practices, expanded access to AEDs in multiple states and through the HEARTS Act, secured an additional five years of funding for congenital heart disease research, and saw several ACC members appointed to influential policy positions.  


Starting in 2025, allied health professionals and registered nurses will be able to join the ACC for just $99 – and receive complimentary membership in the Cardiovascular Team Member Section, where they’ll also find a new Allied Health Professionals Work Group designed to elevate their perspective. The discounted rate will automatically be reflected on current members’ dues statements for 2025

The ACC and the broader House of Medicine continue to wait for the final decision of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) regarding the application for a new independent Board of Cardiovascular Medicine.  A decision is expected in early 2025  Anyone maintaining certifications through the ABIM should continue to keep those current in order to seamlessly transfer to the new CV board should it be approved. More information on the new board including a recent webinar with Board leaders outlines the expected timelines and early plans can be found at the below link.
